CHIRP CHIRP

Waking up early on a Saturday morning

And getting to walk to this view:

This waterfall is known as Lower Yosemite Fall and is the easiest waterfall to be seen. The waterfall is about a 320 foot drop. However, its brother Upper Yosemite falls has about a 2,425 foot drop which is the tallest in North America and fifth largest on Earth! In fact, the drop is nearly twice as tall as the Empire State Building and would be the height of a 200 story building. Lower Yosemite Falls is extremely loud on the and powerful as you can hear the waterfall from the start of the trail. We will discuss both waterfalls and the trail that offer spectacular views of both.

The trail to get to Lower Yosemite Falls is called the Lower Yosemite Fall Trails which consists of many incredible views. The trial begins at Lower Yosemite Fall Trailhead which was a quick 10 minute walk from my hotel. The trail itself is about 1 mile and is one of the easiest trails to walk on in Yosemite. Many people go on this trail since it is very easy to access, so getting there early to avoid all the crowds is essential.

Upon arriving at the trail, a view of both falls is visible:

As you can see, the trail is very scenic with a paved walkway to walk on. However, this was taken around 7AM with very little people. This pathway will get extremely packed during the busy hours and especially on weekends. The earlier you can arrive here, the better. Walking farther down this path will eventually lead to Lower Yosemite Falls.

From this video, you can hear how loud the waterfall is and the sound of the water rushing down. The viewpoint of this fall is on a bridge as the water keeps on flowing. Some people like to walk on those sketchy rocks to get very close to the waterfall.

This viewpoint also shows the impressive rock formations that are around the waterfall. Overall, the view is incredible and is located in a great location.

Heading back to the entrance, we choose to go the more scenic way in which we got a different viewpoint of both Lower and Upper Yosemite Falls:

There was also a little still lake on this trail which was very peaceful with lots of birds chirping in the morning. Overall, Lower Yosemite Fall Trail is an incredible trail to walk on that gives many different views of both falls while providing a easy trail to walk on.
